Pet Photo Guide

A few simple tips for the best possible portrait.

What Makes a Great Photo

  • Good, natural lighting — daylight near a window is ideal
  • Taken at your pet's eye level, rather than shooting down from above
  • Clear focus on the face, with the eyes visible
  • A high-resolution image — most modern phone photos work well

What to Avoid

  • Blurry or very dark photos
  • Heavy filters or screenshots
  • Faces partly hidden or turned away from the camera
